AHMS lauds Veterans’ Day

Abington Heights Middle School students and staff will recognize Veterans’ Day on Wednesday, Nov. 11. Programs are scheduled at each of the four grade levels. Each program will feature patriotic music, guest speakers and recognition of veterans. Arrangements are also being made to have a “live feed internet interview” with a soldier presently serving in Afghanistan.

Arrangements are being made for parents, grandparents or other relatives of middle school students who are veterans or are presently serving in the military to attend the program in order to be recognized for their service.

Programs are scheduled for the following times: 5th grade, 8:45 a.m.; 6th grade, 9:30 a.m.; 7th grade, 11:10 a.m.; 8th grade to 12:30 a.m.
