Abington Christian Academy receives NEH Grant

Abington Christian Academy announces that it has received a National Endowment for the Humanities Grant for Picturing America, an initiative that helps teach American history and culture by bringing some of the country’s great art directly to classrooms and libraries.

First piloted to 1,500 schools in January 2008, the program was launched nationally in February 2008 and has been awarded to over 56,000 schools and public libraries across the countryAbington Christian Academy students, from left, Ashley Lewis and Demetria Smolko study Grant Wood’s “The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere” under the guidance of guest teacher Debbie Anderson.
