Student leads collection

Nicole Dunbar, shown, a senior at Holy Cross High School, brought wish list items to the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter recently. This drive was part of Dunbar’s graduation requirement. Dunbar tried to find a service project that was meaningful for her, as well as one that met a need in the community. Dunbar said she was overwhelmed by the generosity of her family and neighbors and extremely thankful that they supported her efforts. She told the staff at the shelter that the most gratifying part for her was the delivery and visiting with the dogs and cats.
