Students in the ‘Loop’

The Lupus Foundation of PA recently held its annual Lupus Loop 5K Walk/Run at Nay Aug Park. The event, which attracted hundreds of participants, featured free food, DJ and music, awards, children’s activities and health information. All money raised went to support the mission of the Lupus Foundation: to promote awareness, education, service and research for those affected by lupus. Prudential Retirement recently presented the Lupus Foundation of Pennsylvania with a check for $2,000 for corporate sponsorship of the Lupus Loop.

At the event a group of students from the Abington Heights National Honor Society were on hand to volunteer. Shown, from left, are Bess Comerford, Corrine Wolff, Kim Rich, Emily Carpenter, Barbara Mitchell.
