AH girls' volleyball team to play in Nanticoke Tuesday

The first-round match is all set for District 2 champion Abington Heights in the Class AAA state girls' volleyball tournament.

The Lady Comets will play Hatboro-Horsham Tuesday at Nanticoke at 6 p.m.

First-round winners advance to Friday's pool play in York.

Other state tournament matchups and pairings for Tuesday's opening round have been made official.

They include:

Class AA girls' volleyball: District 2 champion Holy Redeemer against District 4 champion Towanda at Wyalusing at 6.

Class A girls' volleyball: District 2 champion MMI Prep against District 11 champion Pottsville Nativity at Pottsville's Martz Hall at 7. The game was originally set for 6 p.m.

Class AAA field hockey: District 2 champion Coughlin against Hershey, the third-place team from District 3, at Crestwood at 6.

Class AA field hockey: District 2 champion Crestwood against Palmyra, the third-place team from District 3, at Wyoming Valley West at 7.

Some soccer sites still have not been announced.
