CTC launches at Birchwood Club

The United States Tennis Association 2009-10 Competition Training Center for northeast Pennsylvania kicked off its twenty second year Sunday, Nov. 7 at Birchwood Tennis & Fitness Club in Clarks Summit.

The “CTC” is for the top 20 junior tennis players between the ages of nine to 15-years-old within a specific area. The program stresses the overall development of the tennis athlete by providing competition, develop basic knowledge of sport psychology, sport nutrition, sport medicine, and sport science, and encourage a team atmosphere with each player’s individual coach.
