Holy Cross wins soccer title

Holy Cross shut out Montrose, 3-0, Wednesday night in the District 2 Class A boys' soccer championship game at Western Wayne High School.

Montrose edged Mountain View, 1-0, for the Class AA girls' title in the opener of the doubleheader.

In another District 2 final, MMI beat Lackawanna Trail, 3-2, for the Class A girls' volleyball championship at Tunkhannock.
