Lackawanna Trail loses to GAR

WILKES-BARRE- Lackawanna Trail lost their football game to the Grenadiers 47-6 on Friday, Sept. 26, at Wilkes-Barre.

G.A.R. was on its way to shutting the Lions out, until Trail’s Sean Fricke made it into the end zone with only 16 seconds left on the clock in the fourth quarter.

Fricke ran the ball 20 times for 83 yards and Eric Laytos ran the ball 17 times for 69-yards.

The 0-5 Lions will try and turn their luck around next week when they will take on Carbondale Area at home.

Carbondale is now 2-3 after coming off a 24-16 Friday night victory over Hanover Area.

The two teams will face off again Friday, Oct. 3, at 7 p.m. at Lackawanna Trail.
