Lady Comets, Spartanettes post wins

Abington Heights made it through its toughest league game of the season to remain unbeaten in Lackawanna League Division 1 girls' basketball play with a 43-39 victory over host Scranton Prep.

In another game, Mid Valley beat Riverside, 31-24, for second place in Division 2 behind unbeaten Dunmore.
