Today's championship matches of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association Wrestling Championships, which include Lackawanna Trail's Eric Laytos and Abington Heights' Evan Craig, can be seen on live television by viewers who receive PCN (Pennsylvania Cable Network) as part of their cable television package.
PCN will air the Class AA championships live at 2 p.m. Laytos wrestlers in the 215-pound final, which will be late in the broadcast, probably closer to 4 p.m.
The Class AAA finals are set for 7:30. Craig, the defending state champion at 285 pounds, will take the mat in the tournament's last bout, which could be around 9:30 p.m.
Craig reached the final this morning when he pinned General McLane's Caleb Baker in 3:40. The senior, who is 49-0 and trying to become the Lackawanna League's first repeat state wrestling champion, will take on Central Mountain's Zach Corl (39-5) in the final.
Laytos, a sophomore with a 40-6 record, will face Seneca's Matt Mongera (41-13). Both wrestlers reached the final with three straight decisions.
Craig, who has only been taken the distance twice this season, became District 2's all-time leader in career wins Friday and pinned all three state tournament opponents.
