North Pocono boys win junior high title

Matt Werner won the individual title to lead North Pocono to the Class AAA boys’ team title Friday in the District 2 Junior High Cross Country Championships at Scranton Municipal Golf Course.

Lackawanna League teams won seven of the eight titles, including all four Class AA titles by Elk Lake, which swept both the team and individual championships.

Wallenpaupack won the Class AAA girls’ title while Regan Rome of Dallas won the individual title.

Enrico Glassi of Holy Cross, in Class AA boys, and Erin Jaeger of Abington Heights, in Class AAA girls, each finished second.
