Top-ranked Bucks tested

Dunmore's first game as the state's top-ranked Class AA team, according to the Harrisburg Patriot-News, turned into a difficult test.

The Bucks needed 140 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries from Michael Perry to pull out a 14-6 victory in a non-league game at Hanover Area.

Hanover Area had the potential go-ahead touchdown called back because of a penalty in the third quarter.

Perry's touchdown runs opened and closed the scoring for the Bucks, who are 9-0 and have already clinched the Lackawanna Football Conference Division 2 title.

Hanover Area fell to 4-5.
