Comets support a friend

On Oct. 9, the Abington Heights varsity and junior varsity field hockey teams played for pink, collecting donations in honor of breast cancer awareness month. For the second straight year, the Lady Comets suited up in pink and held a scrimmage in place of practice. The players donated about $190, according to assistant coach Cheryl Burger. The money will be donated to a district employee who was diagnosed with breast cancer.
