Rally for the Cure Golf Tournament coordinator Gina Cochran is anticipating a full field of 144 lady golfers who come out in their pink attire to participate in the tournament at Glen Oak Country Club on Tuesday, August 18.

Shown above, winners of the Memorial tournament held at Glen Oak County club on Tuesday July 7 Marylyn Preven and Sharon Levy and Chairman of the event Robin Jacobson and Jill Fragin.
All proceeds from this tournament are donated to the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Along with the playing golf, there is a heartwarming ceremony at the onset of the tournament. People are encouraged to purchase flags for $10 each in either memory of or recognition of a friend or family member. These pink flags surround the ninth green of GOCC and prior to tee off, all of the names are read aloud followed by a moment of silence.
This year the committee is selling “Save the ta-tas” T-shirt for $15. There are many other baskets of donations that are available by raffles as well as sponsorships from $50 to $750.
This event last year raised over $14,000. Sponsorship donations will be accepted at Glen Oak Country Club.
