      <description>Members of the Lake-Lehman Marching Band gathered recently for their championship party to celebrate the many awards earned by the band this year. The band is under the direction of Greg Riley, who is assisted by Pat Stanley. Drum Major is Molly Murphy, a senior who has won the best drum major award two years in a row. The band won the best woodwinds category and tied for best visual with Biglersville at the Tournament of Bands Atlantic Coast Championships at the J. Birney Crum Stadium in Allentown. First-place awards went to Governor Livingston from New Jersey with a 96.25 while Lake-Lehman finished second at 96.10 and Biglersville came in third at 95.80 There were over 28 bands from nine states, including Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, Virginia, New York, New Jersey, Delaware and North Carolina, competing for the title.</description>

A US Flag donated by Senator Lisa Baker was dedicated and two wreaths were provided for the Legion monument and the Veterans Monument at Dallas Center. Commander Clarence J.       <description>More than 50 people gathered at an afternoon reception at the Trucksville United Methodist Church on October 24 to honor Louise Hazeltine who has retired as the coordinator for the Back Mountain Food Pantry. She has worked tirelessly for the past seven years to make the food pantry efficient and effective to better serve the clients who depend upon it. Hazeltine was honored with a gold leaf placed on the Tree of Life at the Trucksville Church as well as proclamations from State Senator Lisa Baker and State Representative Karen Boback. She also received a Certificate of Appreciation for her service from the Rotary Club of Dallas.
