Lehman Twp. swears in part-time officer

LEHMAN TWP. – In a quick meeting Monday, the township Board of Supervisors went through its usual business and ended by swearing in a new part-time police officer. Tyler Wilson was hired at the standard rate of $12.55 per hour. His hours will vary at the determination of the police chief. In other police business, the board approved a permit and waived the fee for the Lake-Lehman School District to use township roads for running sports.

Hackett to speak at GOP convention

Chris Hackett had planned on watching the Republican National Convention on television. Now he’ll have a much better seat. The Republican Congressional candidate for the 10th district has accepted an invitation from convention officials to not only attend the four-day event, but to have a speaking role.
