DUMC Sunday School plans chicken dinner

The Dallas United Methodist Sunday School will hold a Chicken Cordon Blue Sunday Dinner at noon on Sunday, Nov. 15, in the church’s social hall. Eight Back Mountain Churches will host a public event entitled “Celebration of Community - A Community Celebration,” at 1:30 p.m. today, Nov. 1, at the Old Noxen School in Noxen.

Pioneer Club donates to Trinity Presbyterian

Birthday Tea set for St. Therese’s Church

The Altar & Rosary Society of St. Therese’s Church in Shavertown will host its 51st Annual Birthday Tea starting at 6 p.m. today, Oct. 11, in Father Sammons Hall.

Blessing the pets

They came in all sizes and shapes, on leashes and in bowls to be blessed by Rev. John Major. The annual Blessing of the Animals Service was held at Prince of Peace Episcopal Church and from the smallest fish to the largest horse, they were all offered prayers for good health.
