The Altar & Rosary Society of St. Therese’s Church in Shavertown will host its 51st Annual Birthday Tea starting at 6 p.m. today, Oct. 11, in Father Sammons Hall.
They came in all sizes and shapes, on leashes and in bowls to be blessed by Rev. John Major. The annual Blessing of the Animals Service was held at Prince of Peace Episcopal Church and from the smallest fish to the largest horse, they were all offered prayers for good health.
