Members of the 155-year-old Carverton United Methodist Church bid farewell to their church building on Sunday, April 26, as the final service was held at the church. The building is now for sale.

The final service at the 155-year-old Carverton United Methodist Church was held Sunday, April 26. The building on Church Road is for sale.

Former pastors joining members of the congregation at the final service included Rev. Donald Schalk, Mr. Robb Henderson, Mr. Alan Cease, Rev. Jackson Cox and Mrs. Margaret Reid, wife of the late Rev. William Reid.
The Carverton United Methodist Church was part of the Carverton Charge which includes the Orange United Methodist Church and the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Sunday services will continue to be held at 10 a.m. at the Orange church and at 11 a.m. at the Mt. Zion church.
