Scouts receive religious emblems

Thirty-six Cub Scouts from Pack 232, Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas, were awarded their religious emblems on “Scout Sunday,” the first Sunday in February, which this year commemorated the 99th anniversary of Scouting in the U.S.

Tiger and Wolf Cub Scouts earned their “Light of Christ” religious medal and the Bear and Webelos Cub Scouts earned their “Parvuli Dei” (Children of God) religious medal.

Father Kevin Mulhern, pastor of Gate of Heaven Church, awarded the boys their medals.

The Boy Scouts of Troop 232 also participated in the Scout Sunday event.
