Blessner named PASR Volunteer of the Year

The Luzerne/Wyoming Counties Chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees (PASR) presented the Volunteer of the Year Award to Maryann Blessner, of Shavertown, at its fall luncheon. This award is give annually to a member who generously gives of his or her time and talent to help others in the community. Blessner was an elementary teacher, a guidance counselor and the head of the IST program in the Lake-Lehman School District.
