The Jackson Township Police Department and Board of Supervisors recently held the Fifth Annual Pumpkin Carving and Coloring Contest and Emergency Services Day at the Jackson Township Recreation Park and Pavilion.

The Jackson Township Police Department and Board of Supervisor recently held the Fifth Annual Pumpkin Carving and Coloring Contest and Emergency Services Day at the Jackson Township Recreation Park and Pavilion. Those involved in the event are, from left, Kyla Campbell, WBRE-TV reporter/anchor and guest judge; John J Wilkes Jr., Jackson Township supervisor chairman; Tracy Halowich, Lake-Lehman Jr./Sr. High School principal and guest judge; Jerry Leedock, Jackson Township Chief of Police; Nicholas Obert, guest judge; Magistrate James Tupper, annual lead judge; and Jackson Township Police Officers Carl Puskar, Harold Cain, Gabe Paduck and William Acuff.
There where games, food, prizes and a Hayride in the Park for everyone to enjoy.
Demonstrations and displays of fire, rescue and police were available.
The Pennsylvania Army National Guard and Emergency Medical Services Equipment and their personnel made everyone more aware of the services they provide to the community.
Children in different age groups entered their carved and colored pumpkins to be displayed and judged.
Prizes were awarded to the most original in each group.
