L-L senior is Civil War buff

Richard Urban, a senior at Lake-Lehman High School and a member of the Wyoming Valley Civil War Round Table (WVCWRT), recently presented a program on “Caldwell’s Division in the Wheatfield” to the Round Table at the Daddow Isaacs American Legion.

Urban has been accepted by Wilkes University and was awarded a scholarship from the Civil War Institute. He attended a week-long seminar at Gettysburg College this year where many notable historians lectured.

Urban has been an active and contributing member of the WVCWRT for several years and is very knowledgeable on the subject.

He has authored a book titled, “The Bravest of the Brave, Pennsylvania’s Civil War Generals” and has also had a Civil War article published in a magazine.
