The Wyoming Seminary Performing Arts Department will present a special benefit concert in honor of Donna Cottle at 2 p.m. today, Nov. 15, in the Great Hall of Wyoming Seminary. Donna Cottle is shown here with her son, Josiah, and her husband, The Rev. Drew Cottle, pastor of the Center Moreland and Dymond Hollow United Methodist Churches.

The performance, titled “When Words Fail, Music Speaks,” is open to the public and will be held at the Great Hall of Wyoming Seminary, 228 Wyoming Ave., Kingston, just north of Kingston Corners. A $10 minimum donation is requested at the door.

The concert is presented in honor of Donna Cottle, a Seminary colleague and parent, who is battling cancer.

Performers include noted area musicians Sophie Till, violin; and Christiane Appenheimer-Vaida, cello; soprano and voice teacher Elizabeth Duhr, the Sem Madrigal Singers, several instrumental ensembles and the Sem Lower School Select Chorus.

The musicians will present a variety of classical and contemporary works.

The event will include a raffle and a silent auction after the performance.

All proceeds will benefit the Cottle family.

For more information or to make contributions to the Cottle family, call Gayle Sekel at 270-2167.
