Three Back Mountain blood drives slated by American Red Cross for month of November

The Dallas Baptist Church, Route 415, Dallas will sponsor a “TOTS” blood drive from 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23.

All type “O” blood will be donated to area neo-natal units for sick babies.

Our Lady of Victory Church, Second Street, Harvey’s Lake will sponsor a drive from 7:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 29.

The last drive of the month will also be a “TOTS” drive, sponsored by Gate of Heaven Church, 10 Machell Ave., Dallas from noon until 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 30.

The double red unit is scheduled to be at this drive.

The Red Cross requests that all donors bring identification and their Red Cross blood card.

First-time donors will receive a card after their first donation.

Anyone 17 years of age, weighing a minimum of 110 pounds and in good health is eligible to donate.

Youths 16 years of age accompanied by a parent may also donate.

A pre-scheduled appointment can be made to reduce the time needed for donating.
