‘Carnivale’ celebrates the good work of CCK

The Fourth Annual Carnival for Community Care for Kids (CCK) offered a chance for those involved with the non-profit organization to get together and revel in the work they have done over the past few years.

Founded by Francis J. Collini, MD, (CCK) is an organization comprised entirely of grass roots volunteers. All administrative, legal and accounting tasks are done by individuals donating their time and expertise and by small businesses working pro bono.

The organization uses state-of-the-art medical facilities donated by Dr. Francis Collini and Susan Collini, facility director, and area hospitals. All doctors, nurses, anesthetists and other ancillary medical personnel work on a 100 percent volunteer basis, collecting no salaries or fees.

All donations go directly to the medical mission and actual expenses.

CCK has seen several of its volunteers travel to Ecuador where they have performed almost 100 surgeries on children desperately in need of corrective surgery. The volunteer doctors work around the clock for a week every summer and bring with them a team of doctors and nurses as well as all medical and surgical supplies.
