The 2008 Kiss the Pig Contest to determine who will kiss ‘Rocco Rooter,’ a potbelly pig, is under way in the Back Mountain. Ballots are available at a number of Back Mountain businesses through Sept. 12. The winning ‘kisser’ will be announced by District Judge James Tupper during the 6th annual Dallas Harvest Festival on Sept. 14. The winning charity will be awarded 50 percent of the money collected. This year’s sponsor is Frontier Communications.
