Harveys Lake elects new mayor

HARVEYS LAKE --In this borough of about 3,000, Richard Boice has held elected office here since Ronald Reagan’s first term as president. For 10 years he served on borough council and the past 16 years he’s been mayor. Voters apparently denied him a chance to reach 30 years in office when they cast 432 ballots for his Republican challenger and current councilman Clarence Hogan and 417 votes for him. The tallies include absentee ballots but the contest results are unofficial until certified by the county and state.
