Lehman Twp. swears in part-time officer

Times Leader staff

LEHMAN TWP. – In a quick meeting Monday, the township Board of Supervisors went through its usual business and ended by swearing in a new part-time police officer.

Tyler Wilson was hired at the standard rate of $12.55 per hour. His hours will vary at the determination of the police chief.

In other police business, the board approved a permit and waived the fee for the Lake-Lehman School District to use township roads for running sports.

The district also wants to install an electric sign at its entrance, but will need a zoning variance.

Also, Curt and Debbie Draus are seeking a setback variance for their property at 1 Boyle Road. They want to add a garage and need the road setback reduced from 50 feet to 29 feet.
