Man dies in Harveys Lake crash

HARVEYS LAKE - Police said a 23-year old man from Dallas died as a result of injuries from a vehicle accident on Lakeside Drive Monday morning.

The man was identified by police as Corey Shultz.

Police said Shultz was driving a vehicle that crashed into a utility pole near state Route 29 at about 1:20 a.m. Shultz was ejected from the vehicle, police said.

Police said Shultz was flown to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains Township where he died.

Police suspect speed may be a factor in the crash.

The investigation is continuing by Chief Daniel Evancho and Officer Charles Musial and the state police.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact Harveys Lake police at 639-1690.
