UNION TWP. -- State police at Shickshinny have charged more than a dozen Northwest Area High School students for their participation in two separate fights off of school property.
Police filed summary disorderly conduct charges against 16 students for a fight that occurred Jan. 25. Seventeen students were also cited for their roles in a fight Jan. 27. It was unclear from the police public information release if some students were charged for each incident.
The investigation started after reports of a fight club amongst students were reported by school administrators to state police. The charges were filed in the office of Magisterial District Judge John Hasay in Shickshinny.
The fights that took place on Jan. 25 and 27 were recorded and posted on youtube.com.
