Blood drive slated

A blood drive in memory of Judy Panagakos will be held from 7:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, Jan. 31, at the Gate of Heaven gymnasium.

Donors at this drive will help to meet the needs of pediatric and neonatal babies undergoing surgery.

Ash Wednesday sale set

An Ash Wednesday clam chowder/halushki/fresh baked bread sale will be held at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 585 Mount Olivet Rd., Wyoming.

Chowder is $7 a quart, halushki is $5 a quart and bread is $3.50 a loaf.

Orders will be taken until Friday, Feb. 12, by calling Michele at 696-2382.

Pick-up is from 2 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 17.

Chicken dinner slated

A chicken and biscuits dinner/bake sale will beheld from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Loyalville United Methodist Church.

Cost is $8 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12 years of age.

Take-outs are available by calling 477-3521 and leaving a message with your name, phone number, number of dinners requested and pickup time.

The church is located a half mile off Route 29 South, nine miles from Noxen. It is one-half mile off Route 18 and four miles west of Dallas.

From West Nanticoke, proceed to Hunlock Creek intersection, continue on Route 29 North approximately four miles to Loyalville Road.
