’Friend Day’ scheduled

Cross Creek Community Church, 370 Carverton Rd., Trucksville will celebrate “Friend Day” today, March 21, with two services at 9 and 10:45 a.m.

Pastor Dave Martin will teach about “Hope.” A fully staffed nursery and junior church is provided.

Additional services are Wednesday Family Night at 6:30 p.m., Adult Bible study, Teen CrossRoads and AWANAs for the children.

Pastie sale planned

The Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Women will hold their regular monthly pastie sale on Thursday, March 25. Orders will be taken until Monday, March 22, by calling 477-5219.

LIUM Women will meet

The regular monthly meeting of the Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Women will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23, at the church.

The program for the evening will be “Easter” presented by Jayne Haefele.

Hostesses for the month are Sabrina Major and Linda VanGorder.

Soup/haluski sale planned

St. Frances Cabrini Church, 585 Mt. Olivet Rd., Wyoming, will hold a clam chowder/halushki/bread sale on Friday, March 26.

Orders can be placed through Monday, March 22, by calling Michele at 696-2382.

Clam chowder is $7 a quart, halushki is $5 a quart and fresh-baked bread is $3.50 a loaf. Pick up is between 2 and 6 p.m. on Friday, March 26.

Egg hunt slated

The Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Church Sunday school will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 27.

Children ages sixth-grade and under are invited to participate.

Songwriter will perform

Award-Winning Shenandoah Valley Songwriter Andrew McKnight will perform from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 28, at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Wyoming Valley, Church Road at Mount Olivet Road and Frances Slocum State Park, Wyoming.

Admission is $12 for general audience and $3 for students with identification.

Musical drama slated

An Easter musical drama, entitled “Testify,” will be presented at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, April 2 and 3, at the Sweet Valley Church of Christ, 5439 Main Rd.

A nursery will be available and refreshments will be offered. For more information, call 477-2320.

Easter services planned

The Easter sunrise service at the Lehman-Idetown Church will be at 7 a.m. on Sunday, April 4, and will be followed by a Continental breakfast.

The regular Easter worship service will be at 10:30 a.m.

Roast beef supper planned

A family-style roast beef supper will be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Route 118, Dallas. Take-outs begin at 3:30 p.m.

Tickets, available at the door or by calling 675-3859, are $8.50 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12 years of age.
