‘Light’ to perform at Dallas Baptist Church

The California Baptist University’s group “Light” will perform at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, and at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 6, at the Dallas Baptist Church, Highway 415 and Briarcrest, Dallas.

“Light” is comprised of eight students who travel the United States during the summer months to minister through their music.

Auditions will be held following the concert for California Baptist University scholarship opportunities for all high school juniors, senior and junior college students interested in pursuing music at the four-year university.

Meat loaf dinner set

A baked meat loaf dinner and bake sale will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, at the Loyalville United Methodist Church.

Cost is $8 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12 years of age.

Takeouts are available by calling 477-3521 and leaving a message with your name, phone number, number of dinners requested and pickup time.

Chicken barbeque set

The Trustees of the Trucksville United Methodist Church will hold a “Take-Out Only” Chicken BBQ from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 17, at the Dickson Educational Facility, Church Road.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children and must be ordered in advance by calling the church office at 696-3897 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

St. Paul’s schedules Bible School

Vacation Bible School will be held from 9 a.m. to noon August 10-14 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Route 118, Dallas.

The theme this year is “Rainforest Adventure.” The program is open to children ages 3 to 10 and is free of charge. Registration forms are available at the church (675-3859) or on-line at www.stpaulselca.com.
