A Thanksgiving Turkey Party & Bingo will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 16, at St. Therese’s Church Holy Name Society, Pioneer Avenue and Davis Street, Shavertown.

Fifteen turkeys will be awarded in a raffle. Refreshments, including pizza, hot dogs, soda, coffee, tea and bottled water, will be available.

LIUM plan pastie sale

The Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Women will hold their monthly pastie sale on Thursday, Nov 19. Order are to be in by Tuesday, Nov 17, by calling 477-5219. Pick up may be made at the church after 9 a.m.

Roast beef dinner planned

A family-style roast beef dinner will be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Route 118, Dallas. Take-outs will begin at 3:30 p.m.

Cost is $8.50 for adults and $3.50 for children and reservations are encouraged. Tickets are available at the door or by calling 675-3859. The church is handicapped accessible.

Pasties available at Maple Grove church

Pasties will be baked at Maple Grove United Methodist Church, 5876 Main Rd., Sweet Valley, on November 19. To place an order, call Karen at 477-2450.

Christmas concert set

“A Blessed Christmas” concert will be presented by the Wyoming Valley Barbershop Harmony Chorus and special guests at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6, at the Shavertown Untied Methodist Church, 163 N. Pioneer Ave., Shavertown.
