Charity breakfast at American Legion

The George M. Dallas Lodge No. 531, Free and Accepted Masons will sponsor an “all you can eat” charity breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. today, Oct. 11, at the Daddow-Isaacs American Legion Post 672 in Dallas. The breakfast will include scrambled eggs, pancakes, hash browns, sausage, danish, coffee, tea and orange juice.

Tickets, available at the door, are $6 for adults and $3 for children.

Chicken barbeque planned for today

The Noxen Volunteer Fire Co. will hold a chicken barbeque from noon to 2 p.m. today, Oct. 11, at the fire hall, Stull Road.

Price is $7.50 per dinner. Eat-in and takeout dinners will be available.

All-Day Bingo scheduled for today

Sunday All Day Bingo will be held today, Oct.11, at the Northmoreland Twp. Vol. Fire Co., Demunds Road, Centermoreland.

Doors open at noon. Dinner will be served at 4 pm.

Monday Night Bingo scheduled for tomorrow

Monday Night Bingo will be held on October 12 and October 26 at the Northmoreland Twp. Vol. Fire Co., Demunds Road, Centermoreland.

Doors open at 5p.m. Refreshments will be available.

Fall Fair planned for Meadows on Oct. 14

The Meadows Nursing and Rehab Center Auxiliary will hold a Fall Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the center, 55 W. Center Hill Rd., Dallas.

There will be vendors, books, crafts, holiday treasures, raffle, a bake sale and lunch available for purchase.

‘Rocky Horror’ musical comes to Music Box

“The Rocky Horror Show” musical by Richard O’Brien will be presented by the Music Box Repertory Company at 7:30 p.m. on October 16, 17, 23, 24, 30 and 31 at the Music Box Dinner Playhouse, 196 Hughes St., Swoyersville. Midnight shows will be held on October 23, 24, 30 and 31.

Kocher Cemetery Association to meet

The semi-annual meeting of the Kocher Cemetery Association will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16, in the chapel at the cemetery. President C. Don Kocher will preside.

Fall Festival planned at Harveys Lake

A Fall Festival will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18, at the Serhan residence near the former Hanson’s Amusement Park at Harveys Lake.

There will be a co-op buffet, co-op non alcoholic beverages or BYOB carriage rides, apple bobbing, desserts in the haunted house with actors. Costumes are encouraged.

Musical entertainment will be provided by George Wesley, Goldenfire Band, Ron Saba and karaoke. There will be fireworks at dusk.

‘Party of the Month’ club has openings

The “Party of the Month” social club is now open for new members. There are five great parties for the upcoming year with dinner and dancing at Newberry Estates featuring music by “The Statesmen.”

If interested in joining, contact Ruth at 655-1023. The first party is scheduled for Sunday, Oct 18.

Boback rep available

A representative from State Rep. Karen Boback’s office will be available to meet with members of the public from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday, Oct. 19, at the Harveys Lake Municipal Building, Route 415, Harveys Lake; and from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Dallas Borough Building, 25 Main St., Dallas.
