Elena Habersky, a freshman International Studies major, was among a group of students and moderators from The University of Scranton who traveled by bus to Fort Benning in Columbus, Georgia recently to attend the Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice/School of the Americans Protest.

The event was held in commemoration of the Jesuit Martyrs of El Salvador and all victims of violence and repression in Latin Americas.

The daughter of Joe and Karen Habersky, of Dallas Township, is a 2009 graduate of Dallas High School.

Halsor named to Thoroughbred Society

Chelsea Halsor, Class of 2011, was recently named to the Skidmore College Thoroughbred Society. The Thoroughbred Society recognizes Skidmore College varsity student-athletes who have achieved a grade point average of 3.67 or higher in the previous semester.

She is the daughter of Sid Halsor and Cydney Faul-Halsor, of Dallas.
