Walk will benefit SAFE

A 5K walk to benefit SAFE (Supporting Autism and Families Everywhere) will be held at 11 a.m. today, Oct. 18, on the Lake-Lehman High School cross-country course. Registration is $15 per person and t-shirts will be available for purchase.

The walk is being coordinated by Lake-Lehman seniors Kylie Kustrin, Olivia Pyskoty and Melinda Wright for their senior completion project.

Tanglefoot comes to Misericordia

Tanglefoot, the iconic Canadian folk band, is bringing its 2009 Farewell Tour to Misericordia University at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21, in Lemmond Theater at Walsh Hall.

General admission to the family-friendly event is $10 and $5 for Misericordia students. To purchase tickets, call 674-6719.

Jazz concert planned for MU on October 30

Misericordia University is presenting the cool jazz sounds of the Rich Goldstein/Andy LaVerne Quartet at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30, in Lemmond Theater at Walsh Hall. The concert is free and open to the public.

Nobel Peace Price nominee at MU

Kathleen Kelly, co-coordinator of Voice for Creative Nonviolence and internationally-respected peace activist who has been nominated three times for the Nobel Peace Prize, will talk about her global peace efforts during a special lecture at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5, in Sandy and Marlene Insalaco Hall, rooms 217-218, on the campus of Misericordia University.

LLHS Class of 1989 plans reunion

The Lake-Lehman High School Class of 1989 will hold its 20th anniversary class reunion on Friday, Nov.27, at Irem Temple Country Club.
