MU features work of photojournalist

The Misericordia University Social Work Club is hosting photojournalist Gary F. Clark, who will present the talk, “The Face of Homelessness in Northeastern Pennsylvania,” at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 17, in Huntzinger Room 218 of Insalaco Hall.

Clark, a member of the NEPA Homeless Coalition, is a retired professor of art at Bloomsburg University where he taught computer art and drawing.

Lock-In committee meets on November 19

The Dallas High School 2010 Graduation Lock-In Committee will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19, in the high school library.

Grocery certificates for Mr. Z’s and Thomas’ Family Market will be sold in increments of $50. Students are asked to bring in a baby or toddler photo and a photo from senior year for the Lock-In video. Photos will be returned the night of the Lock-In.

Undergraduate parents, as well as senior parents, are encouraged to attend the meeting.

Test to be given at Dallas HS

The Dallas High School Guidance Department, in conjunction with the Princeton Review, is sponsoring the Princeton Review Assessment at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5.

The Princeton Review Assessment is part SAT and part ACT which gives students the unique opportunity to sample both tests at the same time.

Students will need to report to the high school by 7:45 a.m. and the test length is three and a half hours. The test is open to all area college-bound students.

Cost is $10 and checks should be made payable to Dallas School District. Contact the guidance department to receive a registration form. Registration forms are due by Thursday, Nov. 18.

LL Band Sponsors hold craft show

The Lake-Lehman Band Sponsors will hold a Fall and Holiday Craft Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Lake-Lehman Junior/Senior High School, Old Route 115, Lehman.

There will be free admission and over 100 vendors will offer a variety of handmade jewelry, wood crafts, wreaths, candles, candy, fudge, soaps, lotions, doll clothes, quilted/crocheted pieces, purses, apparel, folk art, hand painted items and pet related items.

A Chinese Auction will feature items donated by all vendors. There will be a bake sale and a selection of hot foods served in the cafeteria.

Proceeds will benefit all Lake Lehman Jr/Sr High School Band members and music students. For more information, call 574-6325.

LLHS Class of 1989 plans reunion

The Lake-Lehman High School Class of 1989 will hold its 20th anniversary class reunion on Friday, Nov.27, at Irem Temple Country Club.

Classmates are asked to e-mail their contact information to LLHS1989@frontier.com even if they are not planning to attend the event. For further information, contact Renee Hillman Raspen at 477-3077.

WVW class plans reunion

The Wyoming Valley West High School Class of 1989 will hold its 20th anniversary reunion at Bentley’s of NEPA, 2300 Route 309, Ashley, on Friday, Nov. 27.

Tickets are $35 per person and include buffet dinner, dessert and dancing. A cash bar will be available.

LL Class of 1984 hosts event

Lake-Lehman High School Class of 1984 will host a Lake-Lehman alumni get together at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28, at Grotto Pizza, Harveys Lake.
