A mini-football camp focusing on drills and fundamentals will be held July 13, 14 and 15 at the Dallas High School football field. The camp will be conducted by Dallas High School football coach Ted Jackson and members of his coaching staff as well and current and former Mountaineer football players.
Applications may be picked up at the Ranch Wagon on the Dallas Highway or by calling 696-3748.
Dallas Jr. Mounts Second Annual Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, July 25, at Wilkes-Barre Municipal Golf Course with a 1:30 p.m. shotgun start.
Cost is $65 per person for the Captain and Crew event. Contact Sue Berlew at 406-3167 to register.
The Back Mountain Police Association will hold a golf tournament on Friday, July 31, at the Sand Springs Golf Club in Drums.
The captain and Crew format will have a shotgun start at 8 a.m. In addition to prizes, awards will be given to winners of the first three flights. There will be separate prizes for closest to pin, longest drive (male/female), straightest drive. A hole-in-one prize of a trip to Orlanda, Fla. will be available.
Cost of $80 includes greens fees, cart, goodie bag, skins game, dinner and prizes. All proceeds will benefit the Trooper Joshua D. Miller Memorial Fund.
The Rock Recreation Center is now accepting applications for its Sixth Annual Summer Basketball Camp sessions.
The camps are open to boys and girlspre-K through sixth grade. The camps run Monday to Friday with two sessions
for each age group.Times are: Pre-K to first grade: July 20-24; second and third grades: July 6-10 and July 27-31; fourth to sixth grades: July 13-17 and August 3-7.

Afternoon Public Family Swim and Lap Swim is available for residents of the Dallas School District at the Dallas Middle School Pool from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sundays through August 7.
