DEGRAW - Kenneth E., 92, of Falls, died Friday, April 3, 2009 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born on Aug. 27, 1916 in Center Moreland, he was a member of the Center Moreland United Methodist Church and was a Scoutmaster of the Boy Scouts of America Troop 336 where he earned the Silver Beaver Award.
Surviving are his sisters-in-law, Kitty Geary, of Falls; and Marion DeGraw, of Tunkhannock; brother-in-law, David Sutton, of Harding, several nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Margot Stage, of Center Moreland.
Memorial donations to Center Moreland United Methodist Church.
GAVIN - Margaret Mae Blaine, of Trucksville, died Friday, April 3, 2009 at Hospice Community Care Inpatient Unit at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.
Born Sept. 16, 1917 in York, she attended Wilkes-Barre City schools and was a member of Christian Assembly Church, Wilkes-Barre.
Surviving are her sons, Jerry, Richard, Stephen and Paul, all of Wilkes-Barre; daughters, Jeanette “Ginger” Nesbitt, Wilkes-Barre; Lorraine “Cookie” Callahan, Plains Township; 62 grandchildren; great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Michael Citsay, with whom she resided; several nieces and nephews.
GIACOMETTI – Charles J., of Dallas, died Monday, March 30, 2009.
A 1976 graduate of Wyoming Area High School, he earned his college degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa and his law degree from Loyola University Law School in New Orleans. He was an attorney with the Social Security Administration. Prior to that, he was a successful contract negotiator for the NFL Players Association.
He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church, Harveys Lake.
Surviving are his parents, Harry J. and Josephine Giacometti, Jenkins Township; his wife, Dawn; a daughter, Anna; a son, Charles; brothers, Joseph, of Dallas; Harry, of Haddonfield, N.J.; several nieces and nephews.
HARVEY - Glenn, 97, a former resident of Benton and the Bonham Nursing Center, died April 5, 2009 in Berwick Hospital.
Born May 9, 1911 in Broadway, he was employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation until his retirement. He was a member of the Sylvania Lodge No. 354, Free and Accepted Masons, Shickshinny.
Surviving are his daughters, Jeanette, Zephyrhills, Fla.; Madelyn Meeker, Sumter, S.C.; son, Ronald G., Lake Pinecrest, Shickshinny; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Pearl Sundell and Phylis Wolfe, both of Sweet Valley.
ONDISH - Andrew “Andy,” 87, of Dallas (Fernbrook), died Saturday, April 4, 2009 at his home.
Born July 27, 1921 in Wilkes-Barre, he attended Dallas Township schools while living with his family on their farm on Ondish Road (Fernbrook).
He was employed at Wilkes-Barre Clay Products and retired after many years tending the grounds at College Misericordia. He was a member of St. Therese’s Church in Shavertown and the South Mountain Land Association in Noxen.
Surviving are his sisters, Mary Kubasti, Anna Plesnar and Helen Kamont; brothers, George and Pete; sons, Chip and Paul; daughter, Sandi; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews.

SCUTT - Thomas, 78, of Lake Station, Ind., formerly of Dallas, died Thursday, March 19, 2009.
Born Feb. 23, 1931, he retired from Offset Paperback of Dallas after 18 years. He also worked for BF Goodrich, Exeter, for 32 years.
Surviving are his daughters, Diane Banellis, of Edwardsville; and Roseanna Colovos, of Lake Station, Ind.; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; brothers, James Jr. and Peter, both of Dallas; sister, Mary Magyar, of Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.
