BURNELL - Ione “Pone,” 88, of Harveys Lake, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2009 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.

Born Feb. 18, 1920 in Lake Township, she graduated from Noxen High School. She retired from the New York State Department of Corrections where she was employed as a women’s correctional officer.

She was a member of the Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas, and an honorary member of the Harveys Lake Women’s Service Club.

Surviving is a sister, Guida McQuire, of Palmyra; and nieces and nephews.

CLEASBY - Thomas R., 71, of Dallas, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009 at home.

Born Sept. 4, 1937, he was a 1955 graduate of Westmoreland High School, Trucksville. Following graduation, he entered the U.S. Army National Guard.

He owned and operated the Back Mountain Economy Store in Trucksville and then Cleasby’s E-Z Shop in Shavertown. He was later employed as a meat cutter at Daring’s Market in Dallas and retired from the Mountain Fresh Market in Sweet Valley. He was a member of the George M. Dallas Lodge 531 F&AM.

Surviving are his daughters, Beth Shubilla, Kingston; Cheri McCue, Dallas; and Patty Cleasby, Washington, D.C.; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; brothers, George, Shallatte, N.C.; Bruce, Easley, S.C.; and Richard (Dick), Mesa, Ariz.; sisters, Libby Sutton, Dorothy Ladamus and Mimi Bicking, all of Dallas; and Janet Brown, Tunkhannock; companion, Kay DeRemer, Sweet Valley; several nieces and nephews.

CONRAD - Frederick “Fred,” of Falls, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.

Born in Falls on Oct. 1, 1945, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was self-employed as a light hauler and light clean-up.

Surviving is his wife, the former Mary Ann Youells, Falls.

DICKINSON - Harold, of Tunkhannock, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2009 at Mercy Hospital after an illness.

Born in Lehman on Nov. 3, 1935, he was a graduate of Tunkhannock High School and a lifelong resident of Tunkhannock. He was a member of the Memory Chasers Car Club.

He was employed at Local 158 Heavy Highway Construction and, after his retirement, worked at NC Stauffer.

Surviving are his wife of 38 years, the former Mae Breymeier; sons, Ronald, East Lemon; Craig, Tunkhannock; and Brian, Hanover Township; daughter, Susan, Florida; brothers, Donald, Raymond and Wayne; sister, Shirley; eight grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

ELENCHIK - John Michael, of Orange, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009 at home.

Born in Kingston on May 16, 1977, he was educated in the Dallas area schools and was a graduate of Dallas High School, Class of 1995. He was co-owner of Culver Hill Meats and Culver Hill Char-Pit Catering, Orange.

He was a past member of the Kingston Township EMT Unit and a member of St Francis Cabrini Church, Carverton.

Surviving are his parents, John and Julia Katsock Elenchik; sisters, Pamela Bufalino, of Wyoming; and Cyndi Kleinberger, of Pittston Township; maternal grandmother, Alice Katsock, Plains; a niece and two nephews; numerous aunts and uncles.

HENRICHS - Robert Henry Sr., 81, of Dallas, formerly of Franklin Square, N.Y., died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009 in Wilkes-Barre.

Born October 26, 1927 in Richmond Hill, N.Y., he was a graduate of Bushwick High School. He was a member of the Dallas United Methodist Church.

Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as an order processing manager for Mitsubishi International, New York City. He was a member of the Huguenot Lodge, F&AM; Triangle Daddy, Tunkhannock Rotary, Dallas Kiwanis, The Endless Mountains Chorus (SPEBSQSA) and a life member of the National Model Railroad Association, Inc.

Surviving are his wife of 28 years, the former Barbe Koch; children, Robert H. Henrichs Jr., Ruth L. Henrichs, Geoffrey A. Henrichs, Jeffrey M. Whitehair, Jonathon Eric Godinez and Rodney V. Godinez; and four grandchildren.

IDE - Ruth E., 75, of Dallas, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009 at Hospice Community Care, Wilkes-Barre.

Born May 25, 1933, she was a graduate of Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre. Prior to retiring, she spent many years as a sewing-machine operator.

She was a member of the Harveys Lake American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving are her children, Frank Kosak, Wilkes-Barre; Carl Ide, Edwardsville; Donna Ide Sorber, Lehman; Keith Kosak, Tunkhannock; Charles Ide, Lake Silkworth; and Neil Kosak, Harveys Lake; sister, Geraldine Stritzinger Morgan, Orange; brother, James Stritzinger, Wilkes-Barre; and nine grandchildren.

KELLY - Susan M., 57, a former resident of Shavertown, Dallas and Harveys Lake, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009 in West Palm Beach, Fla.

The former Susan Koffecker, she resided in the Wyoming Valley until 1991 when she moved to Delray Beach, Fla. She graduated from Dallas High School in 1969 and attended Luzerne County Community College.

Surviving are her mother, Mary Hoffecker, Delray Beach, Fla.; daughter, Amber Kelly Ulmer, Nashville, Tenn.; son, Keegan Kelly, Nashville, Tenn.; ex-husband, Bill Kelly, Nashville, Tenn.; brother, Chip Hoffecker, Pompano Beach, Fla.; sister, Lori Hoffecker White, Delray Beach, Fla.; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

OGDEN - Rev. Anthony R., of Tunkhannock, died Monday, Feb. 16, 2009 at home.

Born in Lowell, Mass., he graduated from Lowell High School in 1970 and attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, earning a B.S. in 1978. He attended Liberty University in Virginia, receiving a Bachelor of Pastoral Studies in 1999 and received a Masters in Ministry from the Baptist Bible College, Clark Summit, in 2005.

He served an internship as pastor of the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Chicopee, Mass. and became pastor of the Tunkhannock Baptist Church in 2000. He was also a substitute teacher for the Tunkhannock Area School District.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran (1970 to 1974), serving in Vietnam.

Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Deborah A. (Long) Ogden; daughters, Shelley and Cristin, both of Tunkhannock; and Haley Killian, Louisville, Ky.; sister, Peggy Lyons, Lowell, Mass.; brothers, Francis and Daniel Ogden, both of Lowell, Mass.

PRICE - Richard, 74, of Sorbertown Hill, Hunlock Creek, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009 at home.

Born Sept. 8, 1934 in Lehman Township, he was a member of the Hunlock Creek Methodist Church and was employed as a supervisor at Ford Motor Co. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War.

Surviving are his wife, the former Carolyn Sue Flynn; daughter, Claudine Nardone, Henderson, Tenn.; sons, Richard J. Price, Flemington, N.J.; and David M. Price, Phillipsburg, N.J.; stepson, James Flynn, Hunlock Creek; three grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Dankulich, Wapwallopen; and Anna Mae McDonald, Lakewood, N.J.; brother, A. Harry Price, Hunlock Creek.

PRUTZMAN - Minnie Arlene Martin, 96, a lifelong resident of Dallas, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009 at Mountainside Manor, Dallas.

Born in Kunkle on March 23, 1913, she graduated from Dallas Borough School and Coughlin High School. She worked at Irem Temple Country Club in the 1940s and the former Natona Mills in the 1950s. In the 1960s, she managed Art’s Pizza, located on Shady Side, Route 309, and in the 1970s and 1980s, she managed Artco Electronics in Kingston.

Surviving are daughters, Dorothy Jarvis, of Factoryville; Patricia Yenchak, of Ashley; Lorraine Music Saluda, of Virginia; son, Arthur, of Dallas; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; a few great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

ROSEBAUM - Megan L., 39, of Ephrata, formerly of Trucksville, died Feb. 10, 2009 in Ephrata Community Hospital.

Surviving are her parents, James E. Taylor, Ephrata; and Barbara J. (Alichnie) Barsh, Kingston; her husband of 12 years, Alan C. Rosenbaum Jr.; daughter, Brittany L. Taylor, Bradenton, Fla.; sister, Kristin Dowe, Edwardsville; and brothers, James Taylor, Hershey; Bill Taylor, Nashville, Tenn.; and Jeremy Taylor, Hanover.

VISNESKI - Kris P., 30, of Noxen, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born Oct. 25, 1978 in Wilkes-Barre, he is survived his parents, Eugene Visneski, Larksville; and Patricia Payne Visneski, Noxen, with whom he resided; children, Sage Patrick and Autumn Rose, Harveys Lake; brothers, Eugene M. Visneski, Dallas; and Arron T. Visneski, West Pittston; nieces and nephews.
