Lauren D. Hunter, daughter of Michael and Joyce Hunter, of Liberty Township, Ohio, was married on September 13, 2008 to Michael J. Haggerty, son of Dr. David and Mary Anne Cramton, of Trucksville, and the late James Haggerty.
Betsy Lombardo, daughter of Florence Lombardo and the late John Lombardo, of West Pittston, and Chris Tucker, son of Christine Shenefield, of Dallas, and Jim Tucker, of Trucksville, were united in marriage on August 16, 2008 at the Stroudsmoor Inn in the Poconos.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert “Sonny” Schickner, of Harveys Lake, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 13, 2008.
The competition was tough during the Dallas Kiwanis Club’s Annual Halloween Parade. Bridget Goodrich, above, of Dallas, was voted the “funniest”while sisters Melinda, left, and Chenay Champluvier, dressed as “Thing 1” and “Thing 2,” took fourth place in the best group category. Morgan Kunkle was crowned the 2008 Homecoming Queen at Dallas High School during halftime ceremonies of the Dallas/Berwick football game.
