Misericordia University teacher education majors recently received their fall student teaching assignments during an orientation program in the Kennedy Room of the Banks Student Life Center.
Members of the Lake-Lehman Marching Band gathered recently for their championship party to celebrate the many awards earned by the band this year. The band is under the direction of Greg Riley, who is assisted by Pat Stanley. Drum Major is Molly Murphy, a senior who has won the best drum major award two years in a row. It’s an annual tradition at the GateHouse when the pre-school students there dress like Pilgrims and Indians and learn all about Thanksgiving. The students also join with members of their extended families to partake of a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.

Six fourth-grade students from Gate of Heaven School, Dallas, were selected to sing with a regional group of 160 boys in the “We Are The Boys” Boychoir Festival held at Lackawanna Trail High School on November 5. The festival, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), provides a singing experience for boys with unchanged voices in grades four through seven.
