King, queen crowned; football team wins at Dallas

Mike Adams and Ellen Arnaud were crowned 2009 Dallas High School Homecoming King and Queen and the Mountaineers defeated the Hawkeyes of Hanover Area, 15-8, making this year’s Dallas Homecoming celebration complete. Adams, a member of the Mountaineers football team, was represented by Mike Jayne during halftime Homecoming activities

Other members of the Homecoming Court included Taylor Bowman, Rachel Buckman, Kori McGee, Amanda Tomasselli, Chris Dailey, Chris Rose, Sean Ziller and Erik Cannon.

About 500 students attended the annual Homecoming Dance in the high school gymnasium which featured music by DJ Ron McGlynn.

Mike Cherinka and Mary Beth Clark are Dallas High School Student Council advisors.
