Lions Club honors Shaver

Rosemary Ann Shaver, a 2008 graduate of Dallas High School, was one of two recipients of a $500 book scholarship presented by the Dallas Lions Club. She and her parents, Paul and Roseann, were guests of the club at a recent dinner meeting at the Castle Inn.

Shaver has been accepted at Muhlenberg College, Misericordia University and Susquehanna University and will pursue a degree in History or Writing.

While at Dallas, Shaver was active in many sports and extra-curricular activities, including track and field, Student Council, Art and Key Clubs. She was a member of the National Honor Society, Who’s Who Among American High School Students and the Newspaper Club.
