As the first chairman and a charter member of the board of The Luzerne Foundation, the organization recently presented him with the 2009 Mary Bevevino Community Service Award, recognizing his contributions and commitment to the community.
The president and chief executive officer of Penn Miller Insurance Company, Gaudet, of Shavertown, was a valued member of the board of trustees for three years.
