Persicos receive Sister Siena Finley Ethics Award at MU dinner

The Ethics Institute of Northeastern Pennsylvania at Misericordia University recently presented Attorney Joseph L. and Ms. Patrice Persico, of Shavertown, with the Sister Siena Finley Ethics Award during the 18th Annual Ethics Institute Dinner at the Woodlands Inn and Resort, Plains Township.

The Ethics Institute of NEPA at Misericordia University presented the Sister Siena Finley Ethics Award to Attorney Joseph L. and Ms. Patrice Persico of Shavertown at the annual awards dinner. The institute has bestowed the annual award to a person or organization that has demonstrated exemplary ethical behavior in their personal, civic and/or professional life.

Attorney Persico is a managing partner at Rosenn, Jenkins & Greenwald, L.L.P. in Wilkes-Barre and is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and Luzerne County Bar Association.

Ms. Persico is the director of the Family Business Forum at King’s College and a former member and past president of the board of directors of the Ethics Institute of NEPA at Misericordia University.

Attorney Persico has served as president of the Luzerne County Bar Association, has been chairperson of the Bar/Press Committee of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and has served as a member of the House of Delegates of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.

He has served on the Greater Wilkes-Barre Industrial Fund and the Economic Development Council of NEPA. Attorney Persico has also been chairperson of Leadership Wilkes-Barre and served as president of the Fine Arts Fiesta in downtown Wilkes-Barre. He is currently the chairperson of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Family YMCA Board of Trustees and is a member of the board of directors for The Luzerne Foundation and the advisory board of Penn State Wilkes-Barre.

Among his many civic awards are the Wilkes-Barre Jaycees Man of the Year, the Achievement Award from the Young Lawyers’ Division of the Luzerne County Bar Association, the Distinguished Service Award from the Leadership Wilkes-Barre Alumni Association and the Distinguished Leadership Award from the National Association for Community Leadership.

Ms. Persico has also served the greater community in many capacities. She was the president of the board of directors for the Greater Wilkes-Barre Family YMCA and Luzerne County Legal Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Child Development Council of Northeastern Pennsylvania board and a member and officer of the Victims Resource Center board of directors.

She is currently the chairperson of the board of advisors for the Wyoming Valley Health Care System and a member of the board of rectors of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Family YMCA, the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce and Maternal & Family Health Services.
