DMS soccer team wins D-2 championship again
The Dallas Middle School soccer team defeated Abington Heights, 3-2, Wednesday afternoon at the Lake-Lehman soccer field to earn its second consecutive District 2 championship. The Mountaineers sported a 14-0-1 record entering the game and were escorted back to their school by Dallas Borough and Franklin Township fire trucks following the victory.
DMS runners win conference medals
The Dallas Middle School girls cross country team won the Wyoming Valley Conference Championship meet on October 19. The team finished the regular season undefeated with a record 14-0.
Wizards win U11 soccer championship
The Back Mountain Wizards boys soccer team captured the Back Mountain U11 championship and U11 Luzerne County Cup Championship. Members of the team are, from left, first row, Justin Marshall, Noah Mirro, Tyler Manzoni, Zach Ouladelhadjahmed, Kyle Besecker and Jacob Besecker.
