PLAINS TWP. – The District 2 athletic committee is hoping to hold a hearing the week of Dec. 7 concerning the allegations that members of the Dallas High School football team urinated on the tennis courts at Tunkhannock on Sept. 18.
The committee sought a hearing at Wednesday’s regular monthly meeting at the Wilkes-Barre Career and Technology Center, but District 2 chairman Frank Majikes said both schools requested a continuance.
The incident allegedly occurred during halftime of a varsity football game between the two schools.
Junior and senior members of the Dallas and Lake-Lehman football teams were honored at the annual football breakfast at Huntsville Country Club last Thursday prior to Friday night’s Old Shoe Game between the two teams.
The Dallas offense exploded for 35 unanswered points in the second half to defeat the Black Knights of Lake-Lehman, 48-6, in the 62nd Annual Old Shoe Game between the two Back Mountain rivals.
The Dallas Jr. Mounts D team won the Wyoming Valley West Football Conference Super Bowl with a 14-8 victory over the Duryea Wildcats. Members of the championship team, their cheerleaders and coaches are shown here.
