The offensive line, led by Cody Long, Matt Durling, Adam Simmonette, Brian Durling, Justus Schultz, Elija Vigil and Tyler Brobst, had another great game dominating the line of scrimmage. The offense did a great job of paving the way for the running backs to score 20 points and rush for over 200 yards.

Dylan Pilger led the rushing attack with two rushing touchdowns. Willy Mucha had a great game as well and scored the third touchdown. Mucha also completed a pass to Dylan Pilger for a 2-point conversion while PJ Konnick, Angelo Baltier and Brain Durling each had nice runs for the Bobcat offense.

The defense played a tough game, keeping the Hurricanes scoreless. The defensive line, led by Paul Ciaccia, Austin Parry, Randy Zacharais, PJ Konnick, Elija Vigil. Justus Schultz, Cody Long and Brian Durling, kept pressure on the quarterback.

The defensive backs, led by Joey Vigil, Angelo Baltier, Dylan Pilger, Willy Mucha, Adam Simmonette and Justin Bulter, did a good job of keeping the Hurricanes out of the endzone. Dylan Pilger had an interception and Elija Vigil forced the Hurricanes quarterback to fumble.

The Bobcats meet the Kingston Huskies in today’s Super Bowl at Lake-Lehman High School stadium.

B TEAM

Dallas 22

Plymouth 16

The Dallas Jr. Mounts were victorious, 22-16, over the Plymouth Indians during a playoff game hosted by the Back Mountain Bobcats.

The Indians scored late in the first quarter, taking an 8-6 lead.

Dallas’ Cole Dixon found the endzone late in the third quarter for a touchdown. Jimmy Barlow completed the two points for Dallas.

Plymouth scored in the fourth quarter but ran out of time.

The Jr. Mounts will face the Kingston Township Raiders in the Super Bowl today.

Kingston Township 24

Exeter 0

The Kingston Township Raiders B Team opened up the first round of the playoffs with a 24-0 victory against a fine Exeter Panthers. The game was played on a rain-soaked, mud-filled field at the Plymouth Shawnee Indians home field.

Despite the horrible field conditions, the Raiders’ running game was highly successful with three touchdowns of 45, 40 and 25 yards by Bret Storrs. A fourth score was made on a 25-yard run by Conor Motley. Tanner Gattuso, Ricky Morgan and Jason Culp also added to the running game.

This running effort was made possible by the fine blocking of Michael Golden, Mitch Kelly, Michael Golden, Nick Mathers and Abdul Almecky. Quarterbacks Ricky Morgan and Mitch Kelly filled in for an injured Ryan Martin.

The Raiders were able to keep a normally explosive Panthers offense in check for most of the afternoon. There was solid defensive line play led by Ryan Martin, David Edwards, Mitch Kelly and Michael Golden. Linebackers Bret Storrs, Kyle Piskorik and Ricky Morgan backed up the line. The defensive secondary intercepted twice, once by Peter Capitano and once by Tanner Gattuso.

As a result of this victory, the Raiders improved to 8-2 and will meet the Dallas Jr. Mounts in today’s Super Bowl.

C TEAM

Kingston Township 6

Duryea 0

The Kingston Township Raiders C team opened the playoffs with a thrilling 6-0 overtime victory against the Duryea Wildcats.

Battling the field conditions and a strong Wildcats team, the Raiders were able to keep the game scoreless with some great defensive play from Devin Robbins, Josh Holdredge, Michael Anderson, Michael Doggett, Mason Gattuso and Derek Answini.

The game entered overtime where Duryea got the ball first on the 10-yard line with four opportunities to score. The Raiders defense held and took possession at the 10 with four plays of its own.

KT got the ball to the 1-yard line with only fourth down remaining when David Schuster was able to punch it in from there.

The blocking was solid all day with Carl Markowski, Nate Maransky, Andrew Grabowski and Michael Luksic all playing well.

The Raiders take on the Exeter Panthers in the Super Bowl at 11:15 a.m. today, Nov. 1, at Lake-Lehman High School.

Exeter 8

Dallas 0

The Dallas Jr. Mounts C team lost an 8-0 nail biter last Sunday to the undefeated Exeter Panthers.

Both teams moved the ball well in the first half, but couldn’t put it in the endzone as the first half ended in a scoreless tie.

To open the third quarter, Exeter returned a punt 71 yards for a touchdown which accounted for the only score of the game.

With just under five minutes remaining, Dallas took control at its own 35-yard line and drove the ball all the way down to the Exeter 3-yard line. The Panthers’ defense came up with a huge stop on fourth down to end the game.

Ethan Zawatski, Jay Bittner and Todd Phillips made big plays on offense. The defense, led by Connor Maloney, Jerry Ogurkis, Dalton Simpson, Michael Huntington and Blaine Rex, held the potent Exeter offense to zero points.

D TEAM

Dallas 28

Kingston Township 8

The Raiders jumped out to an early lead with a 60-yard run on the first play of the game by Devon Butwin. The Jr. Mounts answered with a meticulous drive capped by a Hunter Love touchdown run.

After the first big play, the Dallas defense, led by Kurtis Ryniec, Alex Hajkowski, Christian Sebastianeli and Jared Adamski, kept Raiders Michael Starbuck and Matt Maransky in check for the balance of the game. Ryniec and Hajkowski each made multiple tackles behind the line of scrimmage.
