DMS runners win conference medals

The Dallas Middle School girls cross country team won the Wyoming Valley Conference Championship meet on October 19. The team finished the regular season undefeated with a record 14-0.

The team was led by overall winner Regan Rome and second-place finisher Maggie Fannick. Other medalists were: Allison Grose, fifth place; Madisen Gilhooley, eighth place; Bryanna Dissinger, 13th place; and Megan Ostrum, 22nd place.

The team placed second in the Lackawanna County Commissioner’s Invitational led by Regan Rome with a first place finish, Allison Grose, 11th place; and Maggie Fannick, 25th place.

The team placed second in the Endless Mountains Invitational with seven girls placing in the top 25. It also competed at the Cliff Robbins Invitational with place-winners Regan Rome, first; Allsion Grose, third; Maggie Fannick, ninth; Nell Adams, 10th; Bryanna Dissinger, 15th; and Amanda Martin, 20th..

At the District Championship meet held on October 30 at Scranton Municipal Golf Course, the team finished second to Wallenpaupack in a very close race with a score of 66-62. The team was led by district champion Regan Rome and medalist Maggie Fannick, ninth place.
